Left hand or Right Hand

The introduction of the requirement to put LH or RH on accessible signage has caused great confusion for many.

The most simple way to work this out is:

- When you are sitting on the toilet, what side the grab rail is on.

If it is on your left, it is a LH sign. If it is on your right, it is a RH sign.

If it is on both sides, you will need to evaluate whether the toilet is an accessible toilet or in fact an ambulant toilet.
